State-of-the-Art Classroom + Espresso Lab
ABC’s is near downtown Portland’s picturesque waterfront. Here you will gain the skills needed to prepare not just espresso-based drinks, but a complete coffeehouse menu, including blender drinks, smoothies, granita and light food items such as panini.
ABC's features eight espresso machines from 10 different manufacturers, in addition to eight coffee brewing systems. Our students work with coffee from 13 different roasters across the U.S. and are exposed to a wide range of associated products. ABC's is not connected to a specific brand of coffee-related product, equipment or coffee, so the information and training you receive from us will be unbiased and in your best interest.
Some of the features of our state-of-the-art training facility include:
- Classroom featuring the latest technologies, including interactive presentations and video training
- A state-of-the-art espresso lab with a wide variety of equipment and products from the most highly respected companies in the specialty coffee industry
- On-site coffee bar for “real-life” training, includes a POS system
- Fully equipped sensory room for coffee, water, milk and tea cupping classes
- Multi-blender and granita station and panini lab

- Internet access via a wireless system
